Choosing your spread
A spread is a set of positions, and the position is half the meaning. The same card in the past and in the outcome says two different things, which is why a three card reading is more than three card meanings in a row.
Ask yes or no when you want a straight answer to something you can name in one sentence. Ask past, present and future when you want to know how you arrived somewhere and where the road bends next. The love, career and money spreads give the three cards named positions that fit the subject, so the middle card stops being vague.
The cards answer what can I do far more clearly than what will they do. If your question is about someone else, turn it around until it is about your side of it. You will get something you can use.
Common questions
Which tarot spread should I choose?
One card when the question has a yes or a no in it. Three cards when you want the story: past, present and future for how something is moving, or the love, career and money spreads when you already know the subject.
Should I read reversed cards?
It is your choice and both ways are honest. Reversals add a second layer: blocked, turned inward, or too much of the same thing. Plenty of experienced readers work with uprights only and read the difficulty from the cards around instead.
Do I have to write a question?
No. You can come to see what wants to be seen, and the reading works. A question helps the spread aim, so if you have one, keep it short and keep it on your side of the story.
Will I get the same cards if I open the link again?
Yes. Every reading has its own link and that link always replays the exact same cards, so you can come back to it in a month or send it to someone and it is still your reading.
