Earth cards answer in weeks and seasons, not in moments. That is why a pentacle in a question about someone's feelings is often a disappointment and should not be: it is telling you to watch what they do over time, which is the only honest test anyway.
The suit tells a working life almost in order. The Ace is an offer with something solid in it. The Three is being paid for a skill and doing it with other people. The Eight is practice, the unglamorous kind. The Seven is the pause where you look at what has grown and decide whether to keep tending it. The Ten is inheritance and family and a house that outlasts you.
