What the card shows
An angel leans out of the clouds and sounds a trumpet with a white banner and a red cross. Below, coffins float on a wide sea, and the people inside them are standing up with open arms: men, women, children, all rising at the same call. Nobody is being judged from outside. They are answering something they recognize.
Judgement upright
Upright, Judgement gathers its themes into one current: awakening, reckoning, the call. As a late Major Arcana, it belongs to the deck's chapters of return: what survived the tests comes back larger, and it asks to be lived, not just understood. Read it as a chapter heading: the current around you is larger than the day.
Judgement reversed
The call has come more than once and gone unanswered. Reversed, Judgement names self-doubt dressed as prudence, the review of your past that never ends because ending it would demand a change.
Reversed, Judgement keeps its subject and loses its flow: awakening is still the theme, now blocked, delayed or turned inward. A reversed late Major means an arrival delayed from inside: the outcome is close, and something in you is still negotiating with it. A Major Arcana unblocks when you stop managing it and start listening to it: ask what this chapter wants from you, not how to end it.

Judgement is late-chapter love, the kind that has already been through something. It carries awakening with it. In love, a Major Arcana marks a chapter of the heart, larger than any single conversation.

Judgement is what work looks like after the turn, with awakening on the other side of it. At work, a Major Arcana signals a turning of the road itself, not just the next task.

Number and correspondence
Judgement carries the number 20 of the Major Arcana. In numerology it reduces to 2, the number of balance and choice, two forces learning to face each other.
